Warded to the DMLE.
I cannot leave you people alone for five minutes, can I?

Yaxley, you have the honor of both filing the excessive amounts of paperwork Auror Dawlish instructed Miss Meliflua to fill out and handling her case, which I suspect will not amount to anything more than a formal apology and a promise to keep an eye out for such behaviour in the future. The rest of the individuals involved will be dealt with personally. I suspect this issue will not be brought up on a department-wide level again, unless I elect to have Auror Dawlish lead some sort of seminar on proper journal behaviour and reportable offenses. I do hope that no one will give me a reason to require such a seminar in the future.

And yes, my office is still quarantined. I don't think I'm contagious but frankly I like you better when I'm not around you
Warded to Mary MacDonald.
This is the busiest our offices have been in quite some time. Do you really have nothing better to do than cause trouble and start petty feuds with Pureblood ladies? You're as bad as Oliver
Warded to Sherlock Savage.
You're a logical lad, Auror Trainee Savage. As such, I expect a fully logical explanation for your behaviour, beginning with your irresponsible conduct on the journals and ending with your irresponsible report of petty teenage gossip to the DMLE. If you could touch on your irresponsible relationship with Miss MacDonald somewhere in there, I would be greatly appreciative.

I do not often use these journals for non-office related manners, but the tone of the discourse re: the candidates for Minister of Magic has disturbed me slightly. As the announcement draws nigh, much has been made of blood status - understandable, considering the political climate - and often at the cost of discussing other important issues. As the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, I would like to publicly remind all witches and wizards, regardless of purity, that we are living in a time of war. This means that all witches and wizards, regardless of purity, should at the very least have some vested interest in their national security. This includes considering political candidates not by their blood status alone, but also by the quality of their political experience and their potential for military strategy, bureaucratic efficiency, interdepartmental cooperation, and fostering unity within the nation.

To say any more than this could be construed as advocating one candidate over the other, which is by no means my goal. However, I would urge you to keep these interests in mind when the announcement of who has earned the office is released before going into fits and giving my office more petty cases to deal with expressing concerns one way or the other about the blood status of our future Minister.

There will always be political and purity differences between us, and there is no hope for pleasing everyone. What is truly important is that we have a leader who is capable of leading a divided nation in a time of great uncertainty, and that we are able to unite behind this leader, instead of allowing blood lines to divide us. Neither Crook nor Flint is pro-Death Eater. I daresay that, with that established, it is now appropriate to move on to more relevant issues than the lineage of our leaders.
